Why character development is important while writing a book?

Character development is the process of creating unique and dynamic characters in writing. This involves creating a vivid and believable personality with details such as the character’s physicality character’s goals, and the character’s personal qualities such as motivations, strengths, and flaws. You can make your character grow and change by giving them obstacles to overcome and choices to make. And, how a character responds to various situations resonates with the reader to a great extent. There are many different degrees of creative writing including personal essays, short stories, academic writing, and fiction stories. When writing fiction stories, it’s important to create good characters that evoke emotion in the reader by giving them unique personality traits and internal conflicts. Harry Potter, one of the most-loved fictional characters, is a great example of a story with well-developed characters that readers can relate to. There are two types of characters in fiction: static characters who do not change throughout the story and dynamic characters who change over time. To create a character arc for your dynamic character, you can use a character development worksheet to identify their strengths and weaknesses and their goal for the story. Secondary characters are also important in creative writing as they can help move the story along and make the main character feel more real by interacting with them.
