D. Lakshmi Tilakam

Lakshmi Tilakam is the definition of a multi-faceted individual. She started her career as a teacher after a degree in B.Ed with a gold medal. Life’s twists and turns led her to varied lines of work, including financial markets, healthcare and publishing. In recent years, Lakshmi has rediscovered her passion for writing, through which she hopes to connect with children and help augment their vivid imaginations. Her stories reflect her passion for nature, which originates from her childhood experiences and influence of her favourite authors such as Kenneth Anderson, James Herriot and Gerald Durrell.
