Rules

• The start date for the IAA’s Children’s Day Short Story Competition will be 05th September 2023.

• All entries must be received by midnight on 05th October 2023.

• The competition is open to anyone aged upto 18 years

• Worldwide entries are accepted.

• The entire submission process is online and there is no fee for submission.

• Each participant can submit only one entry.

• Stories must be no more than 1000 words.

• Stories must be written in English.

• Stories must not have been published, self-published, published on a website, broadcast or featured amongst the winners in another competition.

• Any plagiarized work will be disqualified along with any other work submitted by the entrant.

• The winning stories, along with the names of the winners and their respective school names, will be featured on the IAA website after the results have been officially announced.

• The winning stories will be published as an anthology which will be available for purchase on platforms such as the IAA store, Amazon, and Flipkart.

• Results will be announced on 14th November 2023 in our IAA website (www.iamanauthor.co.in)

• Winners will be awarded at the Awards Presentation Ceremony which will be held in Chennai.

• If the story is a winning entry, IAA will acknowledge the author in the published book. The Publisher (Edisun Consulting Services) will own the copyright of the submitted story and the author will not be eligible for royalty payment.
