I come from a family of teachers – my parents and grandparents were also teachers. After I graduated in English, I began my career as a teacher in SBOA Matric & Hr. Sec. School, Chennai. During my 21-year career at the school, I had the privilege of working in a variety of roles as the House Mistress, Cultural Secretary, Academic Supervisor and Assistant Headmistress. I resigned my job to have more time with my granddaughter and indulge in my hobbies – reading, gardening, cooking, translating literary work from English to Tamil and vice versa. I am a foodie and love travelling.
